for the purpose of guitar or bass guitar top. The pictures show this particular set of wood. The overall width  is given, the set consists of 2 separate parts. Dry, ready for use, require sanding. Dimensions for own purposes to be carried out independently. As always when working with wood, we recommend domestication at the place of destination for a period of several weeks. Everyone, even the most stable type of wood is not indifferent to changes in humidity, temperature and other external factors.

Populus poplar, as well as other poplar varieties, are found in many parts of the world. A wood of this tree is used in a mass production of guitars / basses as cheap wood with appropriate sound qualities, which do not stand out from the accepted standards. Mostly, poplar is associated with the use of cheap instruments, but as always there are exceptions to the rule. Appropriately selected piece of poplar wood, especially with clear acoustic and visual characteristics, in combination with other species is occasionally used in high class custom-made instruments.
