Dimensions for own purposes to be carried out independently. As always when working with wood, we recommend the domestication of the product at the place of destination for a period of several weeks. Everyone, even the most stable type of wood is not indifferent to changes in humidity, temperature and other external factors.

Western Red Cedar Thuja plicata (in contrast to the wood commonly called Spanish cedar, which is not formally cedar species) grows and is mainly harvested in the Northwest of North America. The wood is very light, soft, yellow and red in color, darkening quite quickly in short time. It is not so rare to find whole patches and streaks of a darker colour in cedar wood, this is the charm of this wood. When it comes to use in musical instruments, cedar is mainly used for soundboards in classical and acoustic guitars, rarely for the neck of instruments equipped with nylon strings, or for a light body or central body block or carved top of a jazz guitar. The sound properties are like a combination of spruce and mahogany. The sound is soft and delicate, with a lot of positive harmonics, but the wood reacts faster to the picked sounds than in the case of mahogany, which makes the sound more focused. In the case of electric instruments, we recommend it for light bodies or components of bass/ guitar body.
